Twenty Eagles made the trip to the 3-day Midland Champs in Leamington.  Once again the event attracted a good quality field from all around the country.

Star billing went to Chris B and Kath for winning four titles each, closely followed by Lindsey (three), with Kirstie, Dave, and Ruth two apiece.

Six club records tumbled with two going to Mark Briggs on his Masters debut.  Kirstie broke the 50m Freestyle and 200m IM records in the 25-29yrs, whilst despite some difficulties with his trunks Richard W set a new 100m Breaststroke mark in the 50-54 age group, Lindsey completed a fine meet with a new record in the 50-54yrs 100m IM.

The first ‘DNS’ of the year went to Jaq who chatted away through the entire 50m Freestyle heat she was meant to be swimming in!
