ETWALL EAGLES SWIMMING CLUB

The Rotherham Metro meet (staged at Ponds Forge) again proved to be a happy hunting ground for the squad with Dave leading the way winning the overall 'top male swimmer' award. A well deserved trophy for Mr Holland who recorded at least three PB's during the day.

Etwall swimmer of the meet went to Anne who rolled back the years to record a PB and club record in the 200m Breaststroke event, top effort which eclipsed the great Kranj swim of 2007!

Debutant Richard Miller provided a glimpse into the future with four excellent swims (all packed into one session - he won't be making the same mistake again). The squad now eagerly await his next event.

The Vice Captain made a brief first appearance of the year arriving late and leaving early but at least he didn't leave any belongings behind - unlike another unnamed swimmer, it must be catching!

East Midland records went to Ruth, David, Kirstie, and Paul (apologies if I missed anyone), over 20 club records tumbled and plenty of PB's recorded along the way.
