ETWALL EAGLES SWIMMING CLUB
ETWALL EAGLES SWIMMING CLUB
We rely on volunteers to help run our swimming club and to make it successful. We welcome anyone who is keen! Most of our current volunteers are parents but anyone is welcome.
There are many different jobs within the Club where we need volunteers:
Committee posts, such as Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Officer, and Welfare Officer etc – all sorts of jobs that need doing. The committee meets once a month on a Tuesday night at Blenheim Hotel in Etwall.
Helping on the poolside. We teach at:
Etwall Leisure Centre on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Repton School on Thursday
We will help anyone who wishes to take relevant poolside training by paying a percentage of the cost of the course fees. The Coaches will be able to advise on suitable courses.
Helping at galas, organising the swimmers or jobs like time keeping and judging. Galas are normally held on Saturday evenings and can be anywhere within a 1 hour drive. The Club will financially help anyone wishing to take their ASA timekeepers, judges and starters exam and will find suitable courses
If you would like to know more about the jobs then please speak to any committee member, or coach. We have job descriptions for some committee jobs which might help you decide how you might want to help.
For any volunteers who will work directly with swimmers we have a helpful induction process and we ask that they attend an ASA Child Protection Course. We also have to vet names through the ASA and Criminal Records Bureau.
