Many thanks to all who contributed to making the meet and social a huge success.
This includes organisers, officials, volunteers and of course the swimmers, some
of whom travelled a considerable distance in cold and snowy conditions to attend.
We were pleased to welcome Alan Fennel MBE, President of Derbyshire ASA, accompanied
by Mrs Fennel; he presented Derbyshire Medals, the Paul Alderson Trophy, and some
Derbyshire County Colours.
Congratulations to City of Derby Swimming Club, winners of the Top Visiting Team
Trophy; Halton Masters, winners of the Top Non Midland Club Trophy and to Lindsey
Gowland of Etwall Eagles, winner of the Paul Alderson Trophy for the best 50m Fly
swim (results here....
).
Congratulations to winners of the age group awards, certificates for these entitling
the winners to free swims in our 2011 gala are being sent out by post, along with
similar awards for relay wins.
