Fundraising
We are always looking at ways to raise funds for the club. If you have any ideas
for ways in which we can raise funds please let Rob Freeman
know. Similarly, there are various community funds available from major employers
to assist clubs like Etwall Eagles. If you are aware that your employer runs such
a scheme, please let us know with any info about who we need to get in touch with.

The club participates in the EasyFundRaising scheme. This is a FREE service where
you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost raise funds
for the club.
You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but simply by
using the links from their site first, each purchase you make will generate a cashback
donation to the club.
For example, spend £25 with WH Smith and 3.5% will be donated. You will have raised
£0.88, at no extra cost to your purchase. Make any purchase from Amazon and 2.5%
will be donated. Insure your car with Direct Line and raise £35.00, or purchase
a mobile phone from O2 and earn £17.50, and so on.
You can shop with 2000+ Brand Name retailers and to raise funds you just use the
links from their site first - it's that simple!

British Gas Promotional Scheme
Dear Members, Parents and Friends of Etwall Eagles Swimming Club,
We are one of 6 clubs in the East Midlands ASA Region who, along with 6 clubs in
Scotland, have been selected to take part in a pilot promotional scheme for British
Gas. You may or may not be aware that British Gas sponsors British Swimming, providing
valuable funding at the elite level, and through the ASA to clubs and swimmers at
all levels. British Gas naturally hopes that this association will promote their
company and increase their market share.
To do this more directly they are piloting the scheme described in the
attached leaflet...
Basically if you switch your duel fuel energy to British Gas, and quote the code
ETEA (for Etwall Eagles) when you do so, British Gas will donate £150 to Etwall
Eagles Swimming Club. Apologies to those, especially in the more rural areas, for
whom duel fuel is not an option, the scheme only covers this.
As a club this could be a great benefit to us, allowing us to keep your payments
to us as low as possible, I would also hope that if you are going to take up this
offer there would be a benefit to you in lower fuel prices and there are several
well known websites which can help you find out whether British Gas can offer you
a better deal than your present supplier.
The offer is not restricted, so please pass on the information to family, friends,
neighbours and colleagues, anyone can participate, as long as they quote ETEA as
the beneficiary of the £150. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been invited
to be one of the pilot clubs in this scheme and hope to be able to benefit before
it is rolled out to other clubs across the country - if a success.
As part of the participation in the pilot I am being asked to provide feedback on
the scheme to East Midlands ASA. I would welcome any comments, supportive or critical,
maybe many of you are already British Gas customers, maybe you cannot take advantage
of duel fuel, or maybe you have checked on prices and British Gas cannot offer you
a good deal.
Any feedback to me at
my email address
would be welcome. I am keen for this to be a success, as it will bring money into
the club; and also to justify our selection as a pilot club. Please support us if
at all possible, or if not let me know why.
Thankyou, Rob Feeeman, Chair Etwall Eagles Swimming Club
