Calverton & Bingham Masters Meet
The Masters squad made the short trip to Hucknall, Nottinghamshire for the 3rd staging of the Calverton & Bingham Masters Meet.
All 12 Etwall swimmers made good contributions to relays swims throughout the meet which resulted in a number of second places.
Individually in fine form was Dave Holland who set a number of club and regional records on his way to several event victories in the meet.
Martyn Finney produced one of his quickest 100m Butterfly times which helped secure his top 3 place in the age-group standings at the end of the day.
Marie Cowie who was competing in only her second competition recorded some good times as she continues to make good progress following a knee operation.
The clubs oldest sub 60 second 100m Freestyle swimmer Garry Vickers produced yet another on the eve of his 46th Birthday. His time was easily quick enough to win the 45-49 years age group.Another 100m Freestyle swimmer in good form was Kath Tunnicliffe who on the same day was representing the club in Gloucester. Kath won the 100m Freestyle as well as securing a number of top 3 placing’s along the way.
