Over 170 swimmers from all over the country took part in our Masters Open Meet, including 17 from the club, in particular welcome to Paul Reader swimming for Etwall Eagles for the first time. Quite a few of our swimmers were proudly wearing Derbyshire medals by the end of the day and Dave Bradford was overall winner of his age group with a maximum 30 points. A special thanks to all the officials and helpers from the club who helped to make the event a success. Full results are here.

A very successful and enjoyable day was rounded off by a Masters Section social and prize giving event at The Dragon, in Willington.

Congratulations to Garry Vickers for winning the Swim of the Year trophy, for his lifetime pb 100m Breaststroke swim at the Masters Nationals in October, to Kerry Hamblen for winning the Masters Club Championships Trophy and to Janet Briggs for winning the Gothenburg trophy for the most different events swum during the year.
